I received this guitar about a week ago, as a late Father's Day gift from one of my daughters. I knew I was getting a 2nd, as I told her just what I wanted and why. I did find the finish flaw on it, which is on the back of the guitar, and is no big deal really. I have been playing guitar and bass guitar for over four decades, both as a pro, and later in life, a semi-pro, and of course for my own pleasure. Please do not believe the reviews that beginners put up about this guitar. This guitar 'plays' fine... In fact, I would say it plays like butter, really. The humbucker pick-up sounds fine, and takes well to effects. The machine heads on the one I received, are very smooth, and are as nice or nicer than some of the ones on my much more expensive guitars. Looks great, plays nice, sounds good... At this price it's a no brainer for anyone wanting something as a spare or to haul to a place where you might not want to take your 'better' (read:more expensive) guitars. Folks, if you are just learning, there is no reason to spend more than this, until you know if you are going to stick with it or not. The truth is, if you are a total newbie, ANY guitar is going to seem like torture to you, until you get some finger board time in. Looking to learn with out breaking the bank? Have no fear, buy it... :)
